INTERNATIONAL STEM SUMMER PROGRAMME IN THE UK

The London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) offers a summer school programme in the UK held at Imperial College London & The Royal Geographical Society. Each year 500 students aged 16-21 years old from 70 countries enjoy our 15-day STEM summer camps with lecture demonstrations from leading scientists, scientific visits to world class laboratories and universities combined with cultural interaction.

Founded in 1959, LIYSF aims to give a deeper insight into science and its applications for the benefit of humankind and to develop a greater understanding between young people of all nations. Join us at the 62nd LIYSF from the 28th July until the 11th August 2021 for our unique science summer school STEM programme, with our STEM learning science camps in the UK.

LIYSF is a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides benefit to students aged 16-21 years old that are interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). LIYSF enables students in the pursuit of STEM for the benefit of all.

Summer School Programme for young Scientists

Science
STEM learning includes all of the core subjects of science such as physics, chemistry, and biology. STEM also incorporates technology, engineering, and mathematics into scientific studies. STEM summer schools specifically focus on real-world applications of science.

Technology
In the past few years, education and technology have changed tremendously. Technology classes in STEM-based curriculum now include topics like computer programming, digital modeling, big data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence and game development, to name a few. To fully grasp the technological aspect of a STEM summer camp, you also need analytical skills that help you make conclusions and assessments from your results.

Engineering
STEM-based engineering curriculum includes subjects like electrical and electronics engineering, computer science engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and civil engineering. STEM summer schools include newer areas such as information technology, robotics, food technology, aerospace engineering.

Mathematics
Similar to science, mathematics also includes all of the core mathematical domains such as algebra, trigonometry, calculus, geometry, and probability. STEM summer camps in the UK help you apply maths to real-world challenges creatively and innovatively.
