Dr Diane Ashiru-Oredope

Dr Diane Ashiru-Oredope is the Pharmacist Lead for Antimicrobial Resistance at Public Health England (PHE). She is lead at PHE for HCAI and Stewardship. She also leads the Department of Health Expert Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI).

She is an antimicrobial pharmacist and she led the published DH/ARHAI national antimicrobial stewardship guidance project. This was targeted at secondary care, “Start Smart then Focus”, and the ARHAI/PHE national Antimicrobial Prescribing and Stewardship Competences. She is the Chair of the planning group for European Antibiotic Awareness Day activities in England. She is the professional project lead for the English Surveillance Programme for Antimicrobial Utilisation and Resistance (ESPAUR).
