Dr Diane Ashiru-Oredope


Dr Diane Ashiru-Oredope is the Pharmacist Lead for Antimicrobial Resistance at Public Health England (PHE) & HCAI. She is also the Pharmacist Lead for the Department of Health and Social Care, Expert Advisory Committee.

She is an antimicrobial pharmacist and she led the published DH/ARHAI national antimicrobial stewardship guidance project. This was targeted at secondary care, “Start Smart then Focus”, and the ARHAI/PHE national Antimicrobial Prescribing and Stewardship Competences. She is the Chair of the planning group for European Antibiotic Awareness Day activities in England. She is the professional project lead for the English Surveillance Programme for Antimicrobial Utilisation and Resistance (ESPAUR).
