Eminent key note speakers opened the debate at the prestigious Royal College of Music. Professor John Shepherd, National Oceanography Centre and Professor Ralph Rayner, The London School of Economics gave the key note addresses. Professor Julia Buckingham, Pro-Rector for Education – Imperial College London welcomed students to Imperial.
This year's programme had many internationally leading scientists speaking, including Professor Sir Roy Anderson, chair of Infectious Disease Imperial College London, Sir Colin Terry – Meggitt Plc. Dr Steve Myers, CERN's Director of Accelerators and Technology and Professor John Ellis,
King's College London to name a few. Please download our Brochure Programme to see all our speakers this year.
Thanks to our students this year for engaging so well with our programme and contributing excellently, when in debate, lectures, scientific visits, talent at our International Cabaret or Songs of Home, sporting prowess in our LIYSF Olympics or knowledge when presenting their Student Topics. We have seen the start of some international friendships, which experience tells us will last a lifetime.
Sir Colin Terry, Spoke at LIYSF 2011.
